Greens In Great Shape!

June 22nd 2009 - If you are like most golfers, you have noticed the great prices for golf pretty much anywhere.  Now of course part of that price reduction comes from the fact that it's really hot outside, but a bigger part of it is the shape/condition of the courses.  Here at Greenfield Lakes Golf Course we pride ourselves in having a golf course that is in good shape year round.  We have not aerated our greens until July 6, so come enjoy the great roll on our greens!  For those of you not familiar with Aerated Greens, that is where they take plugs out of the greens and fill them with sand.  This helps get oxygen to the roots helping greens stay healthy.  It also helps with softening the greens.  Now the greens are playable, but you will have a bump here and there and they will roll slower than usual.  Give them a week or two and they will be in great shape!  On behalf of the staff at Greenfield Lakes Golf Course, I thank you all for your support of our course.
